He was a crazy man with no shame on his brain But everyone loved him even though he was insane Eternal trip that he was on Made sure his mind was always gone Fried his brain accidentally Now he sees everything mentally Sweetest man that you could know But when he went crazy it was quite a show He liked to ride his bike and talk To his imaginary friends It was like schizophrenia all over again We called him Ruben the Cuban Even though he was a mexican Ruben the Cuban Man, I wish we could see him again He walked around this city What a pity He didn't have a car nor a house nor a phone He walked around this town alone No place to call his home But everyone he met, they all loved him Even though his hallucinations did quite stun them He liked to talk to statues a lot And right around here is the spot Where I saw him for the first time We called him Ruben the Cuban Even though he was a mexican Ruben the Cuban Man, I wish we could see him again But now he's gone He died in the most peculiar way He jumped right in front of A bloody freight train Freight train Whoa Ruben Dear Ruben You will truly be missed You'll surely never Meet a man quite like this I guess we'll never know How exactly that he got hit Coulda just been suicide Or maybe he didn't notice it Because he's Ruben the Cuban Even though he was a mexican Ruben the Cuban Man, I wish we could see him again

Dude man you're really shy but All ya gotta say is nice to meet ya And try not to get your face so red I can see that you're super fly and All the ladies'll be glad to greet ya But ya gotta be relaxed and cool And let them come to you Not chewing on your past mistakes And the things ya rue 'Cause if you're chronically Basking in your sorrow It doesn't look good For your hope tomorrow Why can't you just get along and Be chill and don't get excited Your negativity doesn't get you anywhere There's a party of happy songs but You decided to not be invited Its your own choice that you're not there But ya gotta be wide eyed and clear And not looking in the rearview mirror Can't be choking on your fear Just find the one you can hold dear 'Cause if you're chronically Basking in your sorrow It doesn't look good For your hope tomorrow You need to translate your dreams To find out what they mean I hope you find your life before you die I hope you can redeem your dreams Pie in the sky 'Cause if you're chronically Basking in your sorrow It doesn't look good For your hope tomorrow 'Cause if you're chronically Basking in your sorrow It doesn't look good For your hope tomorrow

If I do what you say I might turn into a robot And if I do things your way My cerebellum's gonna rot And if my mind turns on a dime My life can't kick into action You're taking away all my time Pretty soon I'll have no reaction Not gonna do what you're telling me I'm not intrigued by your BS degree So won't you please just stand aside Unlike you I won't let my life pass me by Hey man relax don't jump on me Your speech means nothing to me obviously So why don't you just go suck a lemon Your opinion will never get through my big fat melon So please please just stand aside You lost my vote the last time you lied The feeling that I can't only makes me want it more So scream in my ear as I walk out the door Not gonna do what you're telling me I don't concur in fact I disagree So won't you please just stand aside Unlike you I won't let my life pass me by What's fresh on your mind I think about it all the time Its summer there's no bummer Let's get dumber and feel alive Let's recycle all our clocks So baby there's no time wasted I spit out age The last time that I tasted And I'm Not gonna do what you're telling me I'm not intrigued by your BS degree So won't you please just stand aside Unlike you I won't let my life pass me Not gonna do what you're telling me I don't concur in fact I disagree So won't you please just stand aside Unlike you I won't let my life pass me by I've got this fear inside of me 'Cause I wanna stay here and be free But let's enjoy our memories And look forward to our future In times like these we'll make mistakes Yes there's gonna be a few sure But we gotta prepare So don't you dare worry 'bout a thing
